A 5 step Self-Confidence Formula.

To accomplish whatever you want out of life, you need self-confidence and faith. In this article I'm going to explain 5 steps to built your self-confidence and how self-confidence and faith have to be mixed together to achieve your goals.

Faith is the head chemist of the mind. FAITH is a state of mind which may be induced, or created, by affirmation or repeated instructions to the subconscious mind, through the principle of auto-suggestion.

In connection with this, consider the statement, ALL THOUGHTS WHICH HAVE BEEN EMOTIONALIZED, (given feeling) AND MIXED WITH FAITH, begin immediately to translate any emotions.

Not only thought impulses which have been mixed with FAITH, but those which have been mixed with any of the positive emotions, or any of the negative emotions, may reach, and influence the subconscious mind.

From this statement, you will understand that the subconscious mind will translate into its physical equivalent, a thought impulse of a negative or destructive nature, just as readily as it will act upon thought impulses of a positive or constructive nature.

This accounts for the strange phenomenon which so many millions of people experience, referred to as "misfortune," or "bad luck." There are millions of people who BELIEVE themselves "doomed" to poverty and failure, because of some strange force over which they BELIEVE they have no control. They are the creators of their own "misfortunes," because of this negative BELIEF, which is picked up by the subconscious mind, and translated into its physical equivalent.

Your BELIEF, or FAITH, is the element which determines the action of your subconscious mind .

HOW to have faith.

Faith is a state of mind, and that it may be induced by self-suggestion."

It is a well known fact that one comes, finally, to BELIEVE whatever one repeats to one's self, whether the statement be true or false. If a man repeats a lie over and over, he will eventually accept the lie as truth.

Resolve to throw off the influences of any unfortunate environment, and to build your own life to ORDER. Taking inventory of mental assets and liabilities, you will discover that your greatest weakness is lack of self-confidence.

SELF-CONFIDENCE FORMULA

1.. I know that I have the ability to achieve the object of my Definite Purpose in life, therefore, I DEMAND of myself persistent, continuous action toward its attainment, and I here and now promise to render such action.

2.. I realize the dominating thoughts of my mind will eventually reproduce themselves in outward, physical action, and gradually transform themselves into physical reality, therefore, I will concentrate my thoughts for thirty minutes daily, upon the task of thinking of the person I intend to become, thereby creating in my mind a clear mental picture of that person.

3.. I know through the principle of auto-suggestion, any desire that I persistently hold in my mind will eventually seek expression through some practical means of attaining the object back of it, therefore, I will devote ten minutes daily to demanding of myself the development of SELF-CONFIDENCE.

4.. I have clearly written down a description of my DEFINITE CHIEF AIM in life, and I will never stop trying, until I shall have developed sufficient self-confidence for its attainment.

5.. I fully realize that no wealth or position can long endure, unless built upon truth and justice, therefore, I will engage in no transaction which does not benefit all whom it affects. I will succeed by attracting to myself the forces I wish to use, and the cooperation of other people. I will induce others to serve me, because of my willingness to serve others. I will eliminate hatred, envy, jealousy, selfishness, and cynicism, by developing love for all humanity, because I know that a negative attitude toward others can never bring me success. I will cause others to believe in me, because I will believe in them, and in myself.

I will sign my name to this formula, commit it to memory, and repeat it aloud once a day, with full FAITH that it will gradually influence my THOUGHTS and ACTIONS so that I will become a self-reliant, and successful person.

This is just a small fraction on this topic. The important fact about it is - it WORKS for the glory and success of you, IF it is used constructively.

I use this Self-Confidence Formula every morning and all I can say is: DO IT! Every morning when you wake up start with your own Self-Confidence Formula. Take the time for it. Stand up 45 minutes before the rest of the family, tell it to yourself with full FAITH that it will gradually influence your THOUGHTS and ACTIONS .

Use it constructively and achieve whatever you want.

To Fear Or Not To Fear

They say everything happens for a reason and that I do believe. For me it all happened about 7 years ago, at the time I was seeing a therapist and was on various medications, but in my mind neither was helping me to get better, the medication was making me like a zombie, and the therapist; well I was not making any progress with him.

I had always been a very shy sweet kid, who never spoke two words together, but as I grew up fear and negativity consumed me daily, what most people could do on a daily basis, like pay for things or answer the phone I was to afraid to do. Whenever the phone would ring, I would literally run away from it and say "I am not answering it" it was so bad that I would rather have starved then had to buy my own food, if someone came to the door I would run and hide in my room until they were gone. It was a vicious cycle, because I was so afraid to do things for myself, I would throw a tantrum, my parents would get so fed up with me that they would end up doing it themselves, so I never learned how to do the basic daily things until much later in my life.

Growing up I also had a lot of anger within me, as a teenager although, I was still the sweet kind shy kid out in public my family saw another side of me, I later came to realize it all came down to fear again, whenever I felt like I was being attacked I instinctively had to attack back, whether it be verbally and yes sometimes sadly even physically.

When I turned 18 my mother, my grandma, and my two brothers moved to Southern California. I was only there for a few months when I met a friend, who taught me about Meditation and the Power of the Mind. This one day as we were talking he said to me "I do not think you are depressed I just think you are sad," and he suggested I stopped taking my medication. he told me "You need Meditation not Medication" he also suggested that the reason I got into so many negative moods was because I wanted to, not because of some disorder the therapist said I had, at first I was taken back, and I told him 'No you are wrong I am depressed, the Doctor told me I had this disorder." But when I really thought about it I realized he was right although, I hated to admit it.

Over the next few months I learned that Meditation is very helpful in calming my mind as well as my body I learned when my body is out of balance that is when I tend to over react in a situation, where I feel like I am being attacked, but through daily Meditation I could and can keep my body in balance and then when put in a situation where I could either respond in love or anger, I choose love because I know I am not being attacked. With that said I slowly started to see the improvement in myself, of course there was moments when I was taking 1 step forward and then 2 steps back but I did see the improvement, I was becoming a much positive happier person. I was learning to take life one day at a time, to start fresh every day, if I slipped up oh well, I learned to not beat myself up about it. It was about realizing I made a mistake, apologizing to those I might have hurt, and learning to be in the moment.
Along with Meditation my friend taught me about the Law of Attraction and what we put our focus on whether it be negative or positive is attracted to us. I realized that I was putting so much focus on this disorder I supposedly had that it was hindering me from changing. That was when I started to grow and become a better me. I stopped blaming my negative moods and my fear of well, everything on this disorder I supposedly had, and took charge of my life and I realized it was true, I acted negative and like a brat based on fear, because I wanted to not because of this or that disorder.

As I was still afraid of well everything in my life, my friend had me do basically everything I bought the groceries I called up the utilities if there was an issue, I payed for and pumped the gas, whenever there was a moment when I was to afraid to do something and when I tried to get out of doing it my friend was always right there and he would just say, "I am going to sit here until you do it" now I can be pretty stubborn but he stuck in there till I gave in and did it by myself, and that is what I call tough love, at first everything he had me do was very hard I was not even sure I could do it but each time I did it it got easier and easier, and now many years later I do not even have to think about it, its just second nature to me. Now I have learned no matter what the fear is you just have to go and do it yes its going to be hard but as I know from personal experience it will and does get easier each time you do it, it really is just all in our minds. Its all about being consistent and doing it over and over and over again. So now I urge you to go out there and do it what ever it is you are afraid of, conquer it, believe me if I can do it so can you.

The A B C of Self-improvement –What it is, What to Look For

According to a Marketdata Enterprises market report, the U.S. self-improvement market is worth $9.6 Billion. It's a huge business and it attracts a lot of attention. Yet, for all its importance, most people fail to understand what it's all about.A lot of people who are attracted to the art and science of self-improvement are motivated by the lure of money. They want to know better and more expedient ways of climbing the ladder of financial success.

It's no accident that the bible of the self-improvement world is called, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. That is really unfortunate because financial success is really only a relatively small part of what self-improvement should be about. First and foremost, self-improvement should be about finding ways of having a more successful life and money is only a part of that equation. Until that is understood, all the personal work done in self-improvement is next to useless. Money may be essential to a happy life but it's only an aspect of the whole picture. This has been clearly demonstrated in the stories of people who have achieved great levels of financial success and were left so disillusioned that they ended up committing suicide.

Self-improvement is mostly about acquiring the tools and the knowledge necessary to take control of our life in all of its aspects. It's about learning how to control the internal Master System that directs all human behavior. Man is without a doubt the most sophisticated and complex creation or invention on Planet Earth – yet it did not come with an Owner's Manual. That is what the science of self-improvement is all about. It's the next best thing to that Owner's Manual. The emphasis in self-development should be on Personal Control and not exclusively on financial success. This point cannot be stressed enough because it's the number one reason that people get into any of the self-help disciplines and fail.

The science of making money is not all that complex. It could be summed up in a few sentences: 1) Be obsessed with money. 2) Keep on trying to find new ways of making money. 3) Work very hard and save. Anything added to that is superfluous. Nothing else is needed. On the other hand, real self-improvement is a life-long process. It's not about learning new tricks on how to influence people. It's about understanding why we do what we do, about fundamental personality change and about character building. The title says it all, self-improvement. It's about improving who we are as humans. It's about learning that our past does not equate our future. It's about coming to grip with the fact that it is possible to change and finding out how those changes can be affected. The time invested in self-improvement can yield amazing returns. It can open the door to great achievements, transform lives and turn a meaningless existence into a world of greatness. No one has ever achieved anything worthwhile without using the principles found in the science of self-improvement. Like any other discipline, self-improvement requires going through the theory and practice parts of that science. Learning without doing is moot. It does require work, discipline and diligence.

It is a lifelong process, nothing that can be done overnight. The results are proportional to the time and efforts invested. In one word, self-improvement is about understanding what motivates us to do the thing that we do and about character building. Once that this is understood, we are ready to plunge into the wonderful world of self-improvement knowing that our expectations will be met

Ways to overcome fear

People are usually afraid of negative things. They are afraid of self-improvement because of this fear. Psychological self-improvement may help you in this situation.

In psychological self-improvement, The best way to remove this fear is to understand that life is always in the cycle of ups and downs. No one is permanently up or permanently down. Remember that no one can avoid these ups and downs even the most envied Hollywood stars.

What we should do about these downs is to learn from it and not to avoid it. We should learn how to handle our problems for our psychological self-improvement.

Problems affect us every day. These problems bring us misery due to the fact that we have feelings. We should never loose hope in figuring out solutions to these problems. All we need is to learn how to overcome it and not to be overcome.

Problems can never be overcome but we can learn from them. This is where Psychology plays an important role.

Psychologists say that we should always be careful in our decisions concerning our problems. We should handle our problems properly and learn how to deal with it. Learning from mistakes helps us in preparing ourselves for psychological self-improvement

There are a lot of myths about every event in our lives is due to pre-determined reason. Another belief says that what we encounter in our lives today is our preparation for other things that may come in our lives. To understand what may happen to us in the future, we must learn from the present.

With all that, it is also true that the unexpected can happen anytime. However, you should keep in mind that a psychological self-improvement is not always for the worse and consequently, you must never let go of a chance, because you are afraid to take the risk.

Remember that, from time to time, something has to happen in order to free you from monotony, so you shouldn’t be surprised if, at a certain moment in time, instead of being afraid of change, you desire it with all your heart.

If there are some things that hinder you from going on, here are some tips to help you move forward:
Just think of the positive impacts results from the psychological self-improvement. Know important they are and reflect on how to increase them, by adding some other good aspects, which need certain assistance.

Try to picture somebody else in your situation, as picturing ourselves in a less desirable position, always looks more dramatic than it really is. If you realize that the other person can handle the change, you can be sure you’ll be able to handle it as well. This is a good psychological self-improvement.

Think of the worst situation that can result after the self-improvement. Try to find various solutions to it. Reflect on how much you can loose, if the worst happened, and how important those things are to you. If you find more than one reasonable solution, you are safe and the self-improvement can’t be stronger than you are!

Self-improvement is not bad at all. All we need is to learn how to handle some negative changes. We should also reflect from it to learn and use it in the future events that we may encounter. This could be your ultimate psychological self-improvement.

The Seven Days Plan to Self-Improvement

I seem to lost count on how numerous times I've read and heard of celebrity marriages failing almost left and right. Not that I care (and personally I don't), it appears strange that we often see movie and Tv stars as flawless people, living the fairytale life of riches and glamour. I suppose we all need to quit sticking our heads within the clouds and face reality.

There are many methods to lose your sense of self-esteem regardless of of how trivial it could get. But whatever occurs, We should all try not to lose our own sense of self.

So what does it take to be a cut above the rest? Here are some of the issues you are able to think and improve on that should be sufficient for a week.

1. Know your purpose
Are you wandering through life with little direction - hoping that you will find happiness, health and prosperity? Identify your life purpose or mission statement and you'll have your own unique compass which will lead you to your truth north each and every time.

This might appear tricky at first when you see yourself to be in a tight or even dead end. But there's always that little loophole to turn issues around and you are able to make a large distinction to yourself.

2. Know your values
What do you value most? Make a list of your top five values. Some examples are security, freedom, family members, spiritual development, studying. As you set your objectives for 2005 - check your goals against your values. If the objective does not align with any of your top five values - you may wish to reconsider it or revise it.

The number shouldn't discourage you, instead it should motivate you to do more than you are able to ever dreamed of.

3. Know your needs
Unmet requirements can keep you from living authentically. Take care of your self. Do you have a need to be acknowledged, to be correct, to be in control, to be loved? There are so numerous individuals who lived their lives with out realizing their dreams and most of them wind up being stressed or even depressed for that matter. List your leading four needs and get them met before it is too late!

4. Know your passions
You know who you're and what you really enjoy in life. Obstacles like doubt and lack of enthusiasm will only hinder you, but won't derail your chance to turn out to be the individual you ought to be. Express yourself and honor the people who has inspired you to turn out to be the very person you wanted to be.

5. Live from the inside out
Increase your awareness of your inner wisdom by frequently reflecting in silence. Commune with nature. Breathe deeply to quiet your distracted mind. For most of us city slickers it is tough to even discover the peace and quiet we want even in our own home. In my case I often just sit in a dimly lit room and play some classical music. There is sound, yes, but music does soothe the savage beast.

6. Honor your strengths
What are your positive traits? What unique talents do you have? List 3 - in the event you get stuck, ask those closest to you to assist identify these. Are you imaginative, witty, great with your hands? Discover ways to express your authentic self via your strengths. You can increase your self-confidence whenever you can share what you know to other people.

7. Serve others
Whenever you live authentically, you might find that you develop an interconnected sense of being. Whenever you are true to who you're, living your purpose and giving of your talents to the world around you, you give back in service what you came to share with other people -your spirit - your essence. The rewards for sharing your gift with those close to you is indeed rewarding, much more if it were to be the eyes of a stranger who can appreciate what you have carried out to them.

Self-improvement is indeed one kind of work that is worth it. It shouldn't usually be within the confines of an office creating, or perhaps within the four corners of your own room. The difference lies inside ourselves and how much we want to change for the better. Self Improvement Solutions – 5 Steps To Unlock Your Innovation -

Innovation is a talent that everybody has. Some find it easier to express their innovative side than others but that doesn’t mean you don’t possess the skill. Just like riding a bike, learning how to drive and shaving it takes a bit of time and practice to achieve your potential. It just takes time, practice and determination. In this article discover a few tips on how you can unlock your potential with these 5 self improvement solutions and bring out your innovative side.
1. Don’t listen to what others say. If you have an idea, don’t let other people’s input ruin your idea. If they don’t like your idea then they can deal with it. You need to learn to do things for yourself. Do you think that Einstein and other great geniuses went on to listen to their friends about their ideas? I don’t think so.
2. Exercise Exercising relaxes your body by sending endorphins through your body. During exercise many people get a rush of creativity since they are so relaxed. Try it, run for a mile or two and see what happens.
3. Find your own style Everyone is unique and style is also unique in people too. A poet can be told from another one just because of the words he uses or a painter because of the brush he used. If you can find yourself a unique style that works for you people will learn what a valuable asset you are because no one would have the same talent as you.
4. Don’t hide yourself behind fancy equipment Just because you have the most expensive high tech equipment doesn’t make you the best. Yes it does give you an advantage but it is only a small one. Take this for example, do you think a photographer with the newest camera on the market that really doesn’t understand photography at all is really going to make it bigger than a photographer who knows how to take pictures using a disposable camera. No! The same goes with writing, if you have an expensive laptop what use is it to you if you can’t write. Make sure that you are good with your skill, just because you have fancy equipment doesn’t mean you’re the best!
5. Add some passion Passion is that extra bit of effort that will take you to the next level. People with talent can do a good job but someone with passion will work hard. Do you think that that job position will fall into your lap just because you are the most talented? Maybe, but others will be determined to get that position and that could make them virtually impossible. These are just 5 of the many things that can unlock your innovation and hopefully you will take these into consideration to bring out your innovation and let everything snowball from there...

Discover Your Self Improvement Power Today!

When we look at a certain object, a painting for example – we won’t be able to appreciate what’s in it, what is painted and what else goes with it , if the painting is just an inch away from our face. But if we step back a little further, we’ll have a clearer vision of the whole art work. This is the way we view ourselves. We are too close to see the real meaning of us. We need to step back. We need to focus. We reach a point in our life when we are ready for change and ready for a whole bunch of information that will help us unlock our self improvement power but something can be right under our nose but we still don’t see it.
It sometimes takes overwhelming evidence to get our attention, to force us to focus and see what is reality. Today, Anna thinks Carl hates her. Tomorrow, Patrick walks up to her and tells her he hates her. Anna stays the same and doesn’t mind her what other people say. The next day, she learns that Kim and John also dislike her. Anna will not realize the need for self improvement until the entire community hates her and she is totally alone and in emotional pain. We learn our lessons when we experience emotional pain. We finally see the warning signs and signals when things get rough and tough. .......When do we realize that we need to change diets? When none of our jeans and shirts fit us. We are now focused on the problem. .......When do we stop eating candies and chocolates? When all of our teeth have rotted? The dentist makes us focus on the problem. .......When do we realize that we need to stop smoking? When our lungs have gone bad? Our doctor makes us focus on the reality. .......When do we pray and ask for help? When we are told that we are bankrupt?
Our creditor will make us focus on our finances. The only time most of us ever learn about unlocking our self improvement power is when our personal or business life is crashing and falling apart. We think and feel this way because we are afraid to change even though change becomes more painful the longer we ignore it. Change will happen, like it or hate it. At one point or another, we are all going to experience different turning points in our life – and most people will eventually unlock their self improvement power. But, not because the world says so, not because our friends are nagging us, but because the pain of doing nothing will become unbearable. Well balanced people don’t just accept change, they focus upon it and embrace it. Now, you don’t have to feel a tremendous burden before realizing the need for self improvement. Unlocking your self improvement power means unlocking yourself from the cage of thought that says: "its just the way I am." This is such a poor excuse for people who fear and resist change. Jen repeatedly tells everyone that she doesn’t have the guts to be around groups of people. She heard her mom, her dad, her sister, her teacher tell the same things about her to other people.
Over the years, that is what Jen believes. She believes it is her story. And what happens? Every time she is faced with a crowd, at her house, in school, and in the community – she tends to step back or flee. Jen believes her story and she lives it over and over when she is faced with a group situation. Jen has to realize that she can rewrite her story. Instead of having her story be one of a fearful person, she can focus upon and live the idea: “I am a confident person and I enjoy mingling with groups of people!”
Self-improvement may not be everybody’s favorite word, but if we look at things with a focused point of view, we might have greater chances of enjoying the whole step-by-step process instead of dreading the days until we are fully improved. Three sessions in a week at the gym would result to a healthier life. Reading books instead of watching reality shows on TV will give us a more profound knowledge. Going out with friends and peers will help you take a step back from work and unwind. And, as you are enjoying the whole process of unlocking your self improvement power, you will realize that you are beginning to take things light and becoming happy. You will focus on living life to the fullest.
